Nestled in the heart of British Columbia, Rocky Mountain Canine was built on a singular promise: to provide a safe, structured, and enriching environment where dogs can thrive. Founded with a deep passion for canine welfare and rehabilitation, our facility combines top-tier physical care with a balanced, pack-minded approach that keeps dogs mentally stimulated and physically conditioned.
Over the years, owner/operator Tyler has dedicated himself not only to ensuring every boarding guest receives exceptional, individualized attention, but also to rigorous professional development. After spending months completing intensive dog training certifications, Tyler has expanded our capabilities to offer comprehensive, results-driven programs tailored to every dog's needs:
1:1 Private Lessons: Customized coaching sessions designed to help owners build clear communication, tackle specific behavioral challenges, and establish reliable obedience in everyday environments.
21-Day Board and Train: An immersive, structured residency program where dogs live and train alongside us, establishing solid foundational behaviors, impulse control, and balanced household manners.
Off-Leash Certifications: Advanced training pathways focused on bulletproof recall, spatial awareness, and dependable obedience so dogs can safely enjoy freedom in the great outdoors.
Whether your dog is joining us for a structured boarding stay or working directly with Tyler through our specialized training tracks, our commitment remains the same: building confident, well-balanced dogs and fostering harmonious relationships between pets and their families.

Building a Dog’s Dream Retreat
- Our Construction Story –
When we moved here in February 2025, we got straight to work transforming what was once a horse property into every dog’s dream retreat. From the start, our vision was clear — to create a boarding experience that went far beyond traditional kennels or dog-park play.
We built seven spacious kennels, each featuring wood flooring, private outdoor runs, individual heating and cooling systems, and even soothing music to make every pup feel at home.
Our 30-acre property is fully elk-fenced and secured with locked gates, ensuring every dog can roam, explore, and play safely.
Most importantly, we wanted dogs to feel like they’re at home — comfortable, relaxed, and cared for just as they would be with their family.
But our real goal was to build something different — a place focused on adventure, exploration, and connection with nature. We wanted dogs to run free, breathe the mountain air, hike the trails, splash in the creek, and simply be dogs.
